So here goes an interesting story about well-known Kannada cinema actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who was in the news recently for his role in RangiTaranga, which was released on 25 October 2018. Although the film has earned mixed reviews, Darshan has earned praise for his acting skills in this film. He is a popular actor in Kannada cinema and has acted in several hit films. He has been the recipient of two Filmfare Awards, three Karnataka State Film Awards and four South Filmfare awards. He has also been appointed as the brand ambassador of Goa Tourism for the year 2018-2019. In 2017, he was charged with assault by a woman from Hubballi for allegedly hitting her during an argument. He was arrested on 20 January 2017 after district sessions court judge D Devaraj issued a warrant against him following a complaint from a woman from Haveri district. The complainant had alleged that Darshan had attacked her after she refused to speak to him. Later, the police registered a case against the actor for allegedly beating her. He was granted bail on 24 January 2017. The victim later withdrew the complaint against Darshan. He got married to Dr Shilpa Thoogudeepa, an orthopaedic surgeon in 2017, which was attended by leading Kannada film personalities including Upendra, Sudeep, Rajkumar and Ravichandran. Darshan Thoogudeepa was born on 10 December 1981 in Mangalore, Karnataka. He first debuted as an actor in the Kannada film "Pinjar" (1996).
